As a precautionary measure, you will find several recommended steps toward hurricane preparedness below:

Hurricane Precautions:

Closely monitor television and radio reports to keep abreast of weather developments in your area; then follow their advice concerning evacuation or protection procedures.

Contact your local American Red Cross Chapter or review the Emergency Preparedness section of your local telephone book for a community evacuation route, nearby shelters and list of additional recommendations.

Have a disaster kit close by including: flashlight with spare batteries, bottled water, non-perishable food, non-electric can opener, first-aid supplies, portable radio with batteries, change of clothes, and important medications.

In the event that power is lost, please monitor the use of candles very closely.

Relocate all patio items inside your apartment home.

    Close all windows and doors.

We recommend that Residents remove window screens and patio screens and store inside your apartment before the storm arrives.

Set all refrigerator controls to the highest (cold) level.

If a Resident chooses to evacuate, please remove all perishable food from refrigerators and freezers.

Residents should move personal items away from windows and doors and off the floors.  Further, all electrical devices should be unplugged.  Please be reminded that personal possessions are only covered under a personal renter’s insurance policy.

Be prepared to drive to a safe place. Fill your vehicle’s fuel tank.

    Plan for your pet’s safety.

Please contact the leasing office regarding any damage to your apartment home.  Be advised repairs will be performed on a priority basis and when conditions are safe for personnel to proceed with such needed repair.

Please be aware that your on-site Wampold Management Team has been issued instructions to prepare for potential storms and will be taking necessary precautions.  We are hopeful that this threat bypasses our communities, but through an abundance of caution, we believe it is prudent to post a notice to our Residents.  Should you have any questions, please call your Communities Information Center.

Sincerely,
